Mark White

Mark has spent over 14 years of his working life in the energy and infrastructure markets. He gained a Physics degree from Cambridge and started working in the IT department of UBS, before moving into the corporate finance team where he worked on IPOs and the mergers of UK companies. He then moved to the Bank of Scotland’s project finance team in 2002 where he debt-financed energy and energy infrastructure projects including gas and electricity metering (c.£340m), private distribution networks (c.£200m), petrochemical plants (c.£180m) and pulp and paper plants (£180m). He then turned to the more entrepreneurial sector in 2006 where he spent time analysing private equity financing of wind, solar, anaerobic digestion and solar thermal energy projects, as well as structured products.

Mark’s major skill is his ability to grasp the technical aspects of energy generating projects and translate these into financial projections. He distills the complex factors behind commodities, energy conversion, distribution and regulation into useable, meaningful data.

Mark founded P3P Partners LLP in 2011 with Rupert Lywood.  He has successfully modelled, built and operated two CHP plants for growing projects in the UK, including the purchase of gas and sale of electricity.
